Gamble appoints new marketing officer
Proctor & Gamble (P&G), which is behind some of the world’s best known consumer dentistry products, has appointed a new global marketing officer.
Marc Pritchard has been assigned to the role as a result of the retirement of James Stengel, who has been working for P&G for the past 25 years.
Until August 21st, Mr Stengel is to work on various special projects, after which time Mr Pritchard will officially take on the duties of a marketing officer at the company.
Mr Pritchard has been working with the man he is set to replace for the past two years and bosses at P&G are confident that he has the knowledge required to perform well in his new position.
AG Lafley, P&G’s chairman and chief executive, said: “Marc Pritchard is the right leader at the right time to take P&G marketing into the future.
“He’s a committed brand builder with more than 25 years experience and a proven track record of leadership results.”
Close to 140,000 people are employed by P&G worldwide and the company’s best known brands include Oral-B and Gillette.
