Royal Canin launches Hypoallergenic Moderate Energy

15th August 2008

Veterinary supplier Royal Canin has announced the launch of a new food product to help dogs deal with medical problems.

The company claims food intolerance and dermatological problems account for 20 per cent of all veterinary consultations.

It claims the launch of Hypoallergenic Moderate Energy will help manage skin problems in dogs while also helping with weight management.

Dr Pauline Devlin, marketing director at the firm, said: “Hypoallergenic Moderate Energy is a major breakthrough, because it enables the management of two different conditions which often present together but require a significantly different veterinary and nutritional approach.”

She added the product is both palatable and satisfying, both key factors to make sure owners stick to a clinical diet for their pet.

Earlier this year, Royal Canin announced the launch of six specialist foods for different dog breeds, including Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, Chihuahuas, Cocker Spaniels, Golden Retrievers, Miniature Schnauzers and Rottweilers.
