Wyeth names vice-president of corporate communications

Wyeth has announced the appointment of Daniel J McIntyre to vice-president of corporate communications at the firm.

He will be responsible for all internal and external communications for the company and its three major divisions worldwide, including its Fort Dodge Animal Health segment.

Prior to joining Wyeth, Mr McIntyre was managing director of the healthcare practice of Fleishman-Hillard International Communications.

He has also held roles at Pharmacia, Nayer, Bristol-Myers Squibb and Roche.

Timothy P Cost, senior vice-president of corporate affairs at the firm, said: “Wyeth is in one of the most important periods in its history.”

He added that the appointment of Mr IcIntyre is a key part of its plan to meet new and changing challenges.

In May 2008, Fort Dodge Animal Health announced the first vaccination against bluetongue in Germany.
