PerkinElmer to collaborate with Labtronics

PerkinElmer has formed a collaboration with data integration and management solutions company Labtronics, it has been announced.

The partnership will provide labs with more options for connecting instruments with the Labworks Laboratory Information Management System (Lims), which offer customised solutions for individual needs.

An increase in workflow and the elimination of manual data entry will arise from the collaboration, PerkinElmer’s president of Analytical Sciences Richard Begley said.

"Increasingly, laboratories are recognising the importance of effective interfacing when generating and managing large amounts of data such as that created by our inorganic and chromatography products," he added.

The company went on to give the example of a petrochemical company which has seen a 150 per cent rise in sample throughput without increasing its workforce thanks to Labtronics’ LimsLink solution.
