She added the company was “delighted” to be forging the new alliance and looked forward to a “fruitful collaboration”.
Huya currently has two drugs undergoing preclinical development, HBI-3000 and HBI-8000.
The products are for cardiac fibrillation and oncology respectively.
Earlier this week, Schering-Plough announced it had received marketing approval for its Pegintron and Rebetol combination therapy.
Based on the results of a clinical trial, it is the first and only Pegintron in combination with Rebetol therapy to be approved, the company said.
The drug is for use in previously untreated patients three years of age and older, who have chronic hepatitis C.
Speaking at the time, Robert Spiegel, chief medical officer of Schering-Plough Research Institute, said the approval means physicians now have access to the “current standard of care”.
