Siemens Healthcare announces software partnership

31st December 2008

Siemens Healthcare has selected CCSS’s QSystems Management suite for its computing environment.

The software is set to be used for the company’s services to more than 1,000 customers – including 34 hospitals – and will be supported by the technology company.

It will be used for Siemens Healthcare’s financial, clinical and High Availability sectors, along with back office and enterprise management solutions.

The company’s systems analyst Michael d’Onofrio said: "If we had to manually manage these challenges, system performance and availability would suffer and, more importantly, customer satisfaction would be compromised."

He went on to note the tools allow the organisation to automate system monitoring tasks, which allows it to be "proactive in addressing issues with the myriad of applications we monitor".

Mr d’Onofrio added issues can also be resolved quicker, as the system features paging alerts, which allows for support personnel to be notified of any problems more efficiently.

Earlier this month, Siemens Healthcare and a Spanish hospital announced a collaboration, something those interested in science sales jobs may be interested to hear.

Partnering with Hospital Clinic in Barcelona, the two organisations will integrate the use of laboratory tools, information technology and imaging, primarily focusing on fetal medicine, colon cancer and liver fibrosis.

It is hoped the collaboration will allow physicians to received information about a patient more quickly.ADNFCR-1050-ID-18951398-ADNFCR
