Dr Reddy’s Laboratories has announced a restructure of some of its management positions and also appointed a new chief financial officer (CFO).
The company, which is headquartered in India but operates in 100 countries with subsidiaries in the UK, said Umang Vohra was moving upwards from his role as deputy CFO to CFO.
Saumen Chakraborty, who previously held the position, is to begin in the newly-created post of president – corporate and global generics operations.
His job will include product development and leading the supply chain and manufacturing areas of the business.
Mr Vohra will take on the CFO role after 13 years of experience in finance and corporate development, Dr Reddy’s added.
Last month, the company said it had entered into agreements with Sepracor and Schering.
These involve the manufacture of generic versions of Clarinex-D 24-Hour and Clarinex-D 12-Hour, which are non-sedating antihistamines for the treatment of seasonal allergic rhinitis.
