Lilly has announced it has set a date to publish its fourth quarter and full year results for 2008.
Scheduled for January 29th, the company said it will also conduct a conference call on that day which will aim to provide further detail on the company’s performance over the period.
The organisation added a webcast will be available for replay through February 27th.
Last month, Lilly said its prasugrel product had received a positive opinion from the Committee for Medicinal Products for Human Use of the European Medicines Agency.
The product – jointly developed with Daiichi Sankyo – is used as a preventative method for atherothrombotic events in patients who suffer acute coronary syndrome (ACS) and are undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention.
Speaking at the time, Lilly vice president for cardiovascular/acute care J. Anthony Ware said: “Cardiovascular disease remains a significant cause of death and disability worldwide.”
He added: “This positive opinion is an important step in making this new treatment available to help prevent heart attacks in the ACS patient.”
If approved, Lilly said it would market the product throughout the European Union under the brand name Efient.
