Mettler Toledo launches new entry-level pH food analysis equipment
Mettler Toledo has launched a new entry-level pH electrode for the "quick and safe" analysis of food.
The laboratory puncture pH electrode LE427 can be used for the quality control of agricultural products or foodstuffs such as meat and cheese, which can be penetrated using a spear-shaped tip.
It features gel electrolyte and a protective plastic cover, enabling easy and safe analysis, according to the company.
The LE427 has been introduced along with two new kits from the Five meter series, which have each been "designed with food applications in mind". The FG2 Food Kit and the FE20 ATC Kit, part of the FiveGo pH range, both allow a quick start when used with the puncture electrode.
People in science sales jobs may also be interested in other equipment recently introduced by Mettler Toledo, such as the on-line Boiler Blowdown Conductivity Sensor for use with industrial boilers.
Launched last month, the sensor is able to measure at steam conditions, without cooling the sample, up to 210 psig (14.5 bar).
