Thermo Fisher Scientific launches new pipette tip packaging products

Thermo Fisher Scientific has launched a number of new products in its pipette tip packaging line.

Its MBP brand ART barrier tips have been introduced in a pair of new configurations.

The ART Reload System presents the combination of an individually-packaged barrier tip reload inserts with hinged racks, offering users an environmentally-friendly and innovative alternative to traditional tip wrapping.

A push-down blister tub, which clips the insert securely into the hinged rack without exposure to the outside world, is included in the barrier tip reload system.

This allows for the contamination-free transfer of pipette tips into tip racks.

"Effortless removal of the inserts from the racks after tips have been used makes this space-saving reload system a compact alternative. Simply reload the existing rack with new inserts," Thermo Fisher Scientific explains.

Earlier this month, the company announced an increase in revenues of one per cent for the fourth quarter of last year, taking its earnings for the period to $2.65 billion (£1.81 billion).
