Bayer Animal Health makes 4 licensing agreements

Bayer Animal Health has made licensing agreements with four companies in an attempt to give its customers better services and additional product solutions, it has stated.

Under the terms of the arrangements, the firm will market and distribute key items from its partners.

As part of its aquaculture co-operation, Bayer Animal Health has involved Novozymes ? a business that specialises in microbial technology ? and GeneReach Biotechnology ? a firm that works in diagnostics.

Sud-Chemie and Dr Eckel are two chemical companies that manufacture feed additives and will collaborate in the animal nutrition sector of Bayer.

Alexander Jahn, head of region international at Bayer Animal Health, commented there is a “growing demand for animal protein ? [a] rising awareness for food safety and the environmental impact of food production”.

He concluded that these will remain key segments in the future and the latest partnerships should help the company work successfully in light of this.

The company aims to discover, develop, manufacture and market products to improve animal health.
