Bright future for naturals market, say manufacturers
The organic personal care market is thriving despite the downtrodden global economic climate, it has been claimed.
Organisers behind the Natural and Organic Products Europe 2009 exhibition have stated that consumers are continuing to invest in natural applications, regardless of the credit crunch, reported CosmeticsBusiness.
According to Diversified, which arranged the London-based show, more than 200 exhibitors appeared on April 5th and 6th.
Robert Czik, founder of Dead Sea Spa Magik, which sponsors the show’s Natural Beauty Pavilion, told CosmeticsBusiness: “Natural and organic product has made the crossover from food and drink to beauty products.”
Mr Czik added the event reflected this, with the group reporting that it had done more business on the first day of the show than it had at any comparable exhibition.
The UK’s Soil Association published the findings of a recent investigation this week comma which revealed organic beauty sales soared by 63 per cent in 2008.
