Bristol Trust nominated for award
University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to have been shortlisted for a prestigious accolade, it has asserted.
The facility is one of five in England that has been put forward for the CHKS Data Quality Award ? an honour that recognises high-class clinical coding.
Playing a crucial part in the quality of care given to patients, treatment codes are given to everyone who is admitted to hospital and tracked to enable clinicians to access the information.
The Bristol trust was recognised for its accuracy, detail and completeness.
James Coles, director of research at CHKS, explained the shortlisted facilities show high standards are achievable.
Chief executive of the trust Dr Graham Rich said he was happy with the nomination.
“Transforming the patient experience and improving clinical care is top of our agenda,” he commented.
CHKS is an independent provider of quality improvement services and healthcare intelligence. It has developed a number of resolutions for its clients in across 15 countries.
It is now part of the Capita group.
