Church and Dwight says it is saddened by death of spokesperson
Church & Dwight has expressed its grief over the death of one of its spokespeople.
Bill Mays made the company’s OxiClean brand become a household name for more than a decade, but has now passed away.
Chief marketing officer of the firm Bruce Fleming remarked he was the best pitchman of his kind.
He noted Mr May will be missed by the business, as well as all who knew him, adding his enthusiasm for life was infectious.
“We are shocked and saddened by the untimely passing of Billy Mays,” stated Mr Fleming. “We extend our deepest sympathies to his family.”
In conclusion, he said Mr May deserved much of the credit for making OxiClean a household name.
Church & Dwight is responsible for the Arm & Hammer brand, which has a 150-year history.
