Life Technologies publishes 2008 Global Citizenship Report
Life Technologies has made its 2008 Global Publishing Report available.
In a statement issued today, the organisation, which was formed in November 2008 following the merger of Applied Biosystems and Invitrogen Corporation, explained that the report outlines its philanthropic activities.
Other issues covered in the report include the group’s environmental sustainability activities and ethical policies for 2008.
Greg Lucier, chairman and chief executive officer of Life Technologies, said that the company’s ethical, ecological and philanthropic efforts are a "critical" part of its mission of "shaping discovery and improving life".
"From reducing water and energy consumption at Life Technologies’ facilities around the world, to giving back to our communities during our annual Global Volunteer Day, we are deeply committed to being exemplary corporate citizens," he added.
The organisation’s sixth annual Global Volunteer Day – and the first since it was formed after the merger of Applied Biosystems and Invitrogen – took place on May 13th 2009.
