Sartorius to collaborate with SAFC Biosciences

16th July 2009

Sartorius Stedim Biotech has announced a deal with SAFC Biosciences, which will see the two organisations collaborate to provide management and liquid/powder system solutions.

According to a statement issued by Sartorius, the partnership is expected to offer increasingly "robust and comprehensive" solutions to biopharmaceutical organisations.

Commenting on the move, Archie Cullen, SAFC vice-president of global sales, said that the alliance enhances the company’s position as the cell culture company with the largest range of highly specialised products and services.

Reinhard Vogt, executive vice-president and board member of Sartorius Stedim Biotech, added: "With this agreement, we are moving one step closer to the reality of a ‘totally disposable factory’ with integrated technologies and control."

He concluded by saying that the agreement will help customers to enhance their cell culture processes’ efficiency.

In recent weeks, Sartorius announced the receipt of several large orders for consumables used in the production of biopharmaceuticals from a range of "leading global vaccine manufacturers".ADNFCR-1050-ID-19269485-ADNFCR
