Future Science Group magazine Future Microbiology has announced that it will publish a special issue that focuses on the use of systems microbiology in the understanding of pathogenic microbes.

The firm, which is headquartered in London, has enlisted the expertise of several industry figures to edit the one-off edition, such as Grant McFadden of the University of Florida and Brett Finlay from the University of British Columbia.

Filled with the latest opinions, dialogue and reviews, internationally-recognised scientists, including Alessandro Sette, Peter Uetz and Steve Porcella will contribute to the publication.

It will feature discussions surrounding issues such as protein interaction, comparative genomics and microarray technologies and is set to be distributed in February 2010.
