Henry Schein offers dentists advice on swine flu
Henry Schein – a dental products firm that merged with Minerva – has offered guidance to those working in the industry on how to keep their practices clean and prepared for the second wave of swine flu that is expected to hit the UK this autumn.
The company points out that, although there has been a drop in the number of cases detected in the UK of late, vaccination programmes have been scheduled for autumn among those deemed to be most at risk of contracting the virus.
In the meanwhile, healthcare firms such as dentists should “pay special attention to infection control, particularly hand hygiene, in order to minimise the spread of infections”, Henry Schein highlights.
Dentists can also gain access to further guidance concerning their practices and the H1N1 virus from a more comprehensive document on the firm’s website.
In August, Henry Schein announced the launch of the E4D Takeout initiative in collaboration with D4D Technologies, offering dental professionals the opportunity to work with its E4D Dentist System.
