Radiometer releases new transcutaneous solution
Radiometer has announced the availability of a new transcutaneous product that is designed to increase patient safety and comfort.
The TCM CombiM and TCM TOSCA monitors aim to reduce the risk of patient data mix-ups during the continuous transcutaneous monitoring of oxygen, carbon dioxide and saturation in adult, infant and paediatric patients.
A special feature of the monitors is that patients’ ID numbers can be entered into it during treatment sessions, meaning that the occurrence of identity mix-ups can be further prevented.
TCM TOSCA provides details on carbon dioxide and oxygen saturation, while the TCM CombiM measures the levels of carbon dioxide and oxygen.
Radiometer, which was founded in its current incarnation in 1988, has over 50 years experience in the field of blood gas analysis and helped to produce the world’s first acid-base analysers in 1954.
It currently has 45 employees and turns over £11 million a year.
