Elsevier launches new web platform

14th September 2009

Elsevier has made a new web platform available entitled Elsevier Mental Health, which brings all of the group’s expertise in the area into one location.

The website includes information and resources on the subjects of clinical psychology, psychiatry and mental health for researchers, scientists and practitioners.

Links posted on the hub include those to top journals, online books, downloadable articles, alerting services, conferences, discussion forums and RSS feeds powered by Acopus and ScienceDirect.

"The need to provide mental health resources is becoming increasingly apparent as governments around the world are investing heavily in mental health service provisions and encouraging more evidence-based treatment methodologies to be available," explained Dan Morgan, executive publisher for psychology at Elsevier.

In August, Elsevier launched an online channel through its Global Medical Wire News service that offers advice and guidance on the H1N1 virus.

Through this, physicians can gain access to the latest news in diagnostics, vaccines, clinical trials and treatments relating to influenza outbreaks.
