Greiner Bio-One develops new protein crystals analysis system
Greiner Bio-One announced this week that it has launched its latest product CrystalSlide, which is capable of analysing protein crystals from an X-ray source and is also suitable for applications with polarised and UV light.
For use with counter diffusion applications, Greiner Bio-One’s CrystalSlide can help scientists to reduce expenditure and resources needed for the production of protein crystals in a concentration gradient.
The product features a total of 12 microstructured channels with an optimised design to ensure that inlets are suitable for manual filling using a pipette.
Additionally, it is also suitable for all frequently used automated imaging systems, with polyolefin slides measuring 0.6 mm in width being porous to UV light and X-rays for in-situ analysis of protein crystals.
Another product to have been released by Greiner Bio-One this week is its SensoPlate Plus glass bottom plate, which it designed jointly with Evotec Technologies.
