Adventis reveals first-half financial results

Adventis, a marketing and PR firm dealing with the healthcare industry, has released its financial results for the first six months of 2009.

During the period, the company’s operating income stood at 5.6 million pounds, while operating profit reached 0.73 million pounds.

Pre-tax profit totalled 0.71 million pounds and annualised cost savings amounted to 1.3 million pounds.

The company also secured new clients in both the technology and healthcare sectors, including Allergan, Lundbeck, Leo International, GE Health and Merial.

Charles Phillpot, chief executive of Adventis, commented: "Our pharmaceutical, technology and telecoms divisions continue to generate good profits, as do our three media companies. Financial services activity has recovered somewhat from 2008 levels."

Adventis has 14 subsidiaries and divisions and caters for firms seeking corporate identity programmes, advertising campaigns, media planning and buying, marketing literature, research and planning and public relations initiatives.

It employs 170 workers at its London office and in the south-east.
