Red Door Communications campaign recognised at awards

6th October 2009

Red Door Communications has revealed that its healthcare campaign for Bausch and Lomb, which was focused on the improvement of eye care, has been commended at the inaugural PM Society Digital Awards, the firm revealed on its website.

The initiative consisted of a light-hearted video that was posted on YouTube and encouraged people to visit a micro site run by Bausch and Lomb to check on the health of their vision and the care they take over their contact lenses.

Employees from Red Door Communications acted in the feature themselves in a bid to keep costs down, dressing up as bacteria attacking the lenses.

Amy Manuel, European product manager at Bausch and Lomb, stated: "The YouTube film was such a success for us not just in the UK, but globally, that we hope to embark on further digital initiatives as part of the campaign as a direct result of this activity."

Last month, Red Door Communications announced the launch of the Health Collective Network, a group of multi-national specialist consultancies working towards the development of healthcare communication initiatives.
