New cosmetic dentistry trend is shining through, says surgeon
One of the hottest trends in cosmetic dentistry at present involves having diamond studs attached to artificial teeth, according to a surgeon.
The diamond-studded jewellery comes in heart, star and square shapes and patients can also pick from 12 different colours, reports Misbah Nayeem Quadri in DNA India.
Colours available include rich blue zircon, electric magenta diamond and rose champagne.
Mr Nayeem Quadri stated that customers can also pick the size, so the pieces fit their mouths most comfortably.
Dr Jay Mehta, a dental and laser-cosmetic surgeon from the Dental Care and Implant Clinic, claimed that up to 20 patients come to him each month asking for such treatment.
He told the website: “The wonderful thing about these diamonds is that they can be removed very easily without causing any pain to the patient or damage to his teeth.”
Recent advice by online commentator Sebastian Guthery indicates that family and friends can often be good points of reference when deciding where to have cosmetic dentistry carried out.
