Buchi releases the SpeedExtractor

14th October 2009

Buchi has introduced its latest product for scientific laboratories, the SpeedExtractor, a piece of equipment designed to minimise the time between sample analysis and result generation.

The product’s parallel format allows up to six samples to be extracted simultaneously within the space of 20 to 40 minutes, therefore labs may be able to process a maximum of 96 samples in one working day.

This means that results can be available on the same day of testing, even if subsequent extensive purification steps are required, as incoming batches can be processed immediately.

Another feature that sets aside the SpeedExtractor from existing models is its user-friendliness, Buchi states. Following selection of the desired method, the extraction cells are sealed automatically, and six samples are extracted at the push of a button, subtracting the need for programming.

In other Buchi news, the firm also announced the launch of its Digital Melting Point M-560 and M-565 devices this week.
