Agilent instruments win design award

19th October 2009

Agilent’s U2700A Series USB Modular Instruments range has won Design News’ 2009 golden mousetrap award for best products, it has emerged.

The company was one of two winners in the test and measurement sub-category for electronics in this year’s competition.

Included in the compact U2700A portfolio, which has been launched over the past year as part of the Basic Instruments Division’s suite of value instruments, are a source measure unit, switch matrixoscilloscopes, a function generator and a digital multimeter.

"Agilent always strives to deliver affordable value-added instruments without compromising measurement functions and quality to serve our customers better," explained Ee Huei-Sin, vice-president of the organisation’s Basic Instruments Division.

Meanwhile, Agilent released the latest version of its electronic design automation platform for electronic system-level design earlier this month – SystemVue version 2009.08.

The platform significantly reduces the time needed for the physical layer design of high-performance communications algorithms and system architectures.
