Breast implants ‘still most popular cosmetic enhancement’

Breast augmentation surgery is still proving popular despite the recession, with new figures from the Harley Medical Group revealing that demand has risen by nine per cent year-on-year.

The cosmetic surgery group revealed that women are desperate to achieve a desirable hourglass figure and that most ask to increase their bust by two cup sizes.

Celebrities such as Kelly Brook and Megan Fox are often cited by patients when asked whose figure they would most like to have.

Liz Dale, director of the Harley Medical Group, noted that the organisation’s surgeons always counsel patients that they will not be transformed into their heroine through cosmetic surgery.

“However, it can be useful for a patient to come to us with a clear idea of the shape they’re looking to achieve,” she explained.
