Anachem acquired by Mettler Toledo
Anachem has announced that it will become part of fellow scientific products company Mettler Toledo.
The firm, which celebrates its 40th year of operation this year, revealed that it will start 2010 by joining the organisation, where it will continue to operate under its current name.
It expects the move to strengthen its position in the chemical handling market and allow it to supply an increasing number of firms in the UK and Ireland.
In particular, the organisation is well-known among the scientific community for its range of RANIN pipettes.
Carole Staniford, marketing director of Anachem, said: “These products offer advances in ergonomics and performance, essential for today?s demanding laboratory procedures.”
In early December, Anachem launched its latest products – the 4titude FRAMEstar 96 and 384 Well PCR (polymerase chain reaction) Plates.
The items feature a novel two-component design that combines the benefits of a rigid skirt and deck and allows for reliable robotic handling.
