Kyowa Hakko Kirin reveals medium-term business plan
Kyowa Hakko Kirin this week published the goals it will work to achieve from fiscal 2010 to 2012.
The company’s main objective is to position itself as a world-class research and development-centred life sciences organisation with pharmaceuticals at its foundation business.
During the two-year period, the company will aim to provide new value to its clients, focusing its resources on bio-chemicals and pharmaceuticals to provide a range of products to cater for diverse needs.
Bolstering its profitability through restructuring and reforming business processes to transform its cost structure is another major aim of the organisation.
It will also concentrate on strengthening its social reputation and “trustworthiness”, it added, specifically by working to improve its environmental initiatives and ensure higher levels of quality.
Promoting globalisation by collaborating with partners and building upon its core strengths are also targets outlined by Kyowa Hakko Kirin.
In other news, the company reported its financial results for 2009 this week, revealing consolidated net sales of 306.1 billion yen (2.126 billion pounds).
