Genitrix encourages practices to observe dental care month

Genitrix is aiming to promote oral health in pets by encouraging animal health clinics to declare March 2010 official dental care month.

Additionally, the company has launched a number of special offers across its oral care product ranges in a bid to improve the dental health of its clients’ animals.

The plant extract called RF2, which is present in the firm’s Dentagen range, acts as an anti-biofilm therapy and serves to modify the membrane of oral bacteria.

This is in order to keep them from producing plaque and the company also applies Dentagen Wax to dogs and cats following dental procedures, which lasts for several days.

Rob Watkins, marketing director of Genitrix, stated that dental disease can go on to cause serious health problems for animals.

“We’re calling on practices to make March dental care month and are offering them a special deal on Dentagen products to get them started,” he explained.

In other Genitrix news, the firm offered a new dispensing guide to animal health clinics last month, which is available free of charge.
