Elsevier Science wins recognition for healthcare e-products
Elsevier Science has won recognition at an awards ceremony honouring professional and scholarly publishing for a number of its healthcare-focused e-products and books.
The scientific and healthcare information firm won the PROSE Award in the e-product/Best in Biological and Life Sciences category for BrainNavigator, its 3D neuroscience research tool.
This was one of four awards and six honourable mentions accrued by the company at the event, with its book and DVD sets on glaucoma and plastic surgery also winning recognition.
Jim Donohue, managing director of science and technology books for Elsevier, expressed pride at its achievement and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to “disseminating world-class information”.
He added: “Elsevier’s success in both the e-product and book categories of the PROSE Awards demonstrates our ability to design and develop both print and electronic products that serve our customers’ needs.”
Last month, the firm launched Pageburst, a new digital learning platform aimed at students of healthcare disciplines.
