Parexel to enhance early phase services through new alliance
Parexel is to collaborate with biomarker and assay specialist Proteome Sciences in a new alliance designed to allow Parexel to enhance its early phase services.
The global biopharmaceutical services provider will look to use Proteome’s protein and peptide biomarker capabilities to improve its ability to make assessments on the efficacy of products in clinical development.
It stated that this alliance will allow it to provide more informed expertise and access to further biomarkers in the sectors in which it operates, including oncology, haematology, neurology and cardiology.
Michelle Middle, corporate vice president and worldwide head of early phase at Parexel International, stated that this will assist its clients in being able to make “better decisions faster”.
She added: “Our alliance with Proteome Sciences reinforces our commitment to provide customers with significant expertise to help them select relevant biomarkers for their development programs, interpret results, and determine implications for their therapies.”
Last month, the company published its financial report for the quarter ending December 31st 2009, during which its revenue increased by 3.2 per cent year-on-year.
