Dionex introduces new ion chromatography system
Dionex has launched a new dual system designed to allow laboratory technicians to perform capillary ion chromatography-based analysis.
The new ICS-5000 Reagent-Free Ion Chromatography system utilises IC x IC technology in capillary and analytical modes, allowing for the achievement of extremely low detection limits.
It is also optimised to be easy and quick to use and maintain, while also helping to protect samples from metal contamination thanks to its chemically inert flow path.
Dionex stated that these attributes make the ICS-5000 ideal for use in biological applications such as metabolomics and a potentially cost-effective and convenient alternative to a mass spectrometer.
It added: “The ICS-5000 provides three months of uninterrupted operation with just two litres of deionised water, increasing convenience and reducing waste by a hundredfold.”
This month, the science firm has also introduced the Ultra-Trace Anion Concentrator 2, a new column product line which can be used for high purity water analysis.
