Caudex Medical appoints new executive vice-president

Caudex Medical has selected Janet Shaw as its new executive vice-president, following an extensive career in the sector.

Ms Shaw joins the medical communications agency having previously occupied senior management positions at companies such as International Meeting and Science/Grey Healthcare Group and AM Medica Communications.

Her most recent role was with the public relations group Prime Medica, with her work giving her an understanding of dealing with clients from the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical devices sectors.

Amanda Smith, global head of Caudex, said that her 20-plus years of experience will allow her to assist in the company’s development.

She said: “Janet provides our clients with an incredibly deep and broad understanding of the drug development and medical communications continuum.”

In January, Caudex sponsored and attended the International Society for Medical Publication Professionals meeting in London in order to discuss developments in healthcare-related writing and publishing.
