Ecolab launches new alcohol-based hand gel

18th March 2010

Ecolab has released a new alcoholic hand gel product which is designed to offer fast-acting and effective disinfection characteristics.

The company’s new Spirigel Complete contains 85 per cent ethanol and has been proven in tests to be effective against viruses, yeasts and bacteria with a contact time of 15 seconds.

It also represents the first fully virucidal gel to be made widely available across Europe, with the product having passed numerous quality standards on disinfection efficacy.

In support of this launch, Ecolab is also providing a range of additional materials to complement the product, such as rub technique posters, numerous dispensing formats and signage to raise awareness.

Aisha Khan, market segment manager for hand hygiene at Ecolab, said: “This is especially important for such a major product launch and is a sign of our commitment to our customers and their staff and patients.”

Last month, the company launched Klerwipe 70/30 IPA, an alcohol-impregnated disinfectant wipe for use in germ-free cleanrooms.
