Molnlycke contributes medical supplies to Haiti
Molnlycke has made a new contribution of medical supplies to aid victims of the Haiti earthquake.
The medical device company is donating ProcedurePak custom procedure trays to the disaster-hit country, where they will be used by volunteer organisations to conduct knee arthroscopy, abdominal invasive and minor vaginal procedures.
This comes after the company contributed supplies such as wound dressings, surgical gloves and antiseptic products to the area last month.
In addition to these donations, the company is also supporting a number of not-for-profit organisations offering aid in the area, including the volunteer medical group Operation Smile.
It stated that these initiatives will help to “ease the human suffering” seen in the country since the earthquake struck in January.
Earlier this year, the company announced the completion of its takeover of hydrophilic polyurethane foam specialist Rynel, which has previously supplied Molnlycke with materials to produce wound dressing products such as Mepilex.
