Dionex wins award for ion chromatography system
Dionex has been presented with an industry award for the innovative nature of its ICS-5000 Reagent-Free Ion Chromatography (RFIC) system.
The unit was awarded a Bronze Star for coming third in the Analytical Instruments and Software category at the GIT Innovations Awards 2010, which is organised by the German publication GIT Labor-Fachzeitchrift.
Dionex’s award-winning RFIC device is a dual system designed to offer fast and cost-effective results for laboratory technicians involved in biological research, such as metabolomics.
The unit is designed to offer the same ultra-low detection limits as a mass spectrometer, but without the associated expense and operational difficulties.
It is also supported by the science company’s Dionex Chromeleon 6 and Chromeleon 7 Chromatography Data System software, allowing for greater control over instruments and data.
Dionex said: “We have taken sensitivity and ease-of-use to a whole new level, simplifying ion chromatography while simultaneously increasing the power and reproducibility of ion analysis.”
