Sanofi-aventis senior vice-president to leave company
Sanofi-aventis has revealed that its senior vice-president Laurence Debroux is to leave the pharmaceutical company as of July 1st 2010.
The executive, who is also the firm’s chief strategic officer and a member of the executive committee, has been employed by Sanofi-aventis since 1996 in finance and business development roles.
Christopher Viehbacher, chief executive officer of Sanofi-aventis, has also credited her with helping the company to “realise significant acquisitions” in the last 18 months.
Ms Debroux is leaving the company in order to pursue a new challenge, with Sanofi-aventis set to appoint her successor soon.
“I would like to sincerely express my gratitude to Laurence for her contributions to the development of Sanofi-aventis since 1996,” added Mr Viehbacher.
Last week, the company published its financial report for the first quarter of 2010, a period which saw the firm experience improved sales, thanks in part to demand for influenza A/H1N1 vaccines.
