A-dec integrates SoproLIFE camera into delivery systems

A-dec has announced that its delivery systems are to support SoproLIFE, a handheld camera system manufactured by Acteon.

The camera technology is designed to provide a range of caries detection and intraoral imaging functions, assisting in both the diagnosis and treatment of oral health problems.

It can be used to show the difference between healthy and diseased tissue, is backward-compatible with all Sopro intraoral camera tubing and docking and shares the A-dec range’s easy-to-clean design philosophy.

Aaron Mangelsdorf, A dec’s product manager, said the technology’s imaging capabilities also make it easier to explain treatment methods and recommendations to patients.

He added: “Anything that helps the doctor increase the standard of care is significant. But to be able to make a breakthrough technology like SoproLIFE easier and simpler for doctors to own, operate and utilise – that’s doubly exciting.”

Last month, the company launched its new Proxeo and Endea handpiece collections, which have been developed in conjunction with W and H.
