ProStrakan reports progress for beginning of 2010

18th May 2010

ProStrakan has highlighted the progress it has made towards commercial and clinical targets during the first four months of 2010.

The company has published its interim management statement for the period between January 1st and April 30th, during which ProStrakan’s total product revenues saw a 29 per cent increase.

This was attributed in part to improved European sales of drugs such as Rectogesic, Tostran and Xomolix, as well as the UK-exclusive Adcal-D3, while Abstral has also seen success since its 2009 launch.

In addition, the Scotland-based firm has also made progress towards the US approval of several key products in the last four months.

Dr Wilson Totten, chief executive of ProStrakan, added: “We continue to focus sharply on growing the business profitably through continued sales growth and tight cost management.”

Last month, the company was presented with the Award for Innovation at the Scottish PLC Awards in honour of the “great new product launches” it has conducted in the last year.
