Bayer Animal Health launches online video series on parasites

25th May 2010

Bayer Animal Health has moved to raise awareness of the issue of parasite control with the launch of a series of online videos.

The healthcare company has developed a series of four short films with the assistance of celebrity veterinarian Scott Miller, which highlight the risk posed to domestic animals by common parasites such as mosquitoes and fleas.

It states that the series has been inspired by the Parasites Life Undercover exhibition at the Berlin Natural History Museum, as well as its own extensive experience in developing internal and external parasite control agents.

Margaret Fairhurst, head of global marketing at Bayer Animal Health, said: “We hope that viewers will also learn more about the inherent dangers some of these creatures pose to our beloved pets and the steps owners can take to protect their pets from them.”

Last month, Bayer Animal Health called for an increase in awareness of canine vector-borne diseases following the fifth annual CVBD World Forum.
