Fleishman-Hillard appoints new SVP and partner

27th May 2010

Fleishman-Hillard has announced that John Blyth has been appointed as a senior vice-president (SVP) and partner at the media agency.

Mr Blyth, a communications industry veteran of more than 35 years, has been appointed to provide senior client counsel, as well as to take charge of strategic initiatives for some of Fleishman-Hillard’s biggest corporate customers.

He joins the agency from fast food giant McDonald’s, where he served as corporate vice-president of corporate communications, playing a central role in its brand-building, marketing and reputation management.

In addition, he has also served in marketing positions at firms such as Unilever and DDB.

Dave Senay, Fleishman-Hillard’s president and chief executive officer, said: “John brings with him a wealth of experience in managing one of the most respected global brands. It will be a tremendous asset to draw on that experience to further strengthen our work.”

Earlier this month, Fleishman-Hillard was named Best Multinational Agency to Work For by The Holmes Report, in recognition of the quality of its training and education infrastructure and corporate responsibility.
