Anachem launches new library quantification kits
Anachem has highlighted the advantages of its new rage of library quantification kits can offer compared to traditional methods of analysing next-generation sequencing (NGS) libraries.
The new Kapa kits from Anachem utilise quantitative PCR methods to offer fast, accurate and sensitive quantifications which foregoes the need for expensive and time-consuming titrations.
By contrast, Anachem states that standard methods such as electrophoresis and spectrophotometry provide relatively low sensitivity and require the consumption of nanograms of samples.
In addition, the new kits are optimised for use for with many leading brands of laboratory equipment, including Roche’s 454 Titanium series and 454 FLX series platforms.
The Broad Institute in Cambridge, Massachusetts endorsed Anachem’s technology, saying: “Implementation of the KAPA library quantification kit into our sequencing workflows resulted in a significant reduction in variability across multiple libraries, negating the need for cluster amplification titration runs.”
Earlier this year, Anachem released its new SpaceSaver Stacked Refill Systems for Rainin BioClean pipette tips, which allow laboratory equipment to be stored more efficiently and sustainably.
