Leica Microsystems launches new software for lab equipment
Leica Microsystems has launched new software solutions which make it easier for laboratory technicians to manage their digital imagery.
The new Ariol and SlidePath software is designed for use with the Leica SCN400 Slide Scanner and Leica DM6000 B Research Microscope, providing users with new data analysis functions.
SlidePath delivers web-enabled image handling and e-learning options for the SCN400, providing a digital image hub which has been specifically tailored for use in preclinical research or toxicological studies.
Meanwhile, the Ariol software can be used with both the SCN400 and DM6000, allowing scientists to quickly process a high volume of slides or create a perfect pathology workstation for biomarker analysis.
Leica states that the launch of these products will allow the company to continue to "set new standards in virtual imaging".
Last month, the company launched its new Structured Illumination and the TCS SPE microscopes, two lab equipment solutions which provide high-quality yet cost-effective performance.
