Ferno appoints new business development manager

Ferno has announced the appointment of Darren Sharman to the company in the role of business development manager for its ambulance division.

Mr Sharman was previously employed by a private ambulance firm – a role in which he enjoyed success – and has been operating in his new position for the medical equipment company since August 2010.

His role focuses on Ferno's operations in the south of England and will see him take personal responsibility for providing services to ambulance customers in the region.

The firm expressed confidence that Mr Sharman's "extensive key account and field sales management experience" will serve him well in his position.

"Please join us in welcoming Darren to the company and we look forward to his valuable contribution to Ferno over the coming years," added the company.

This comes in the same month that Ferno attended the Civilian and Military Emergency Care Show in Birmingham, where it demonstrated a range of new evacuation and patient transfer products ideal for hospital and army applications.
