Ferno wins praise from NHS clients for critical care trolley

29th September 2010

Ferno has received a positive testimony from NHS professionals in the south of England for its new balloon pump critical care transfer trolley.

Healthcare specialists from the Surrey region have praised the innovative design of the CCT Balloon Pump Trolley, which allows patients with heart conditions to be administered with life-saving treatment while being transported to and from operations.

The trolley has been developed in consultation with numerous healthcare bodies – including the Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, the South East Coast Ambulance Service and the Surrey Wide Critical Care Network – after Ferno was approached to devise a solution to the issues involved in patient transport.

Dr Peter Clarkson, consultant cardiologist at Frimley Park Hospital and clinical cardiac lead for Surrey Heart and Stroke Care Network, said the "state-of-the-art" device will help to raise patient care standards.

Ferno's managing director Jon Ellis added: "Nothing like this has been developed before and our research and development team rose to the challenge to deliver a product that specifically met the client's exacting brief."

The new trolley was among the products demonstrated by Ferno at the Civilian and Military Emergency Care Show in Birmingham earlier this month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800089088-ADNFCR
