Align Technology reports growth in third quarter
Align Technology has experienced year-on-year growth in revenue totals during the third quarter of 2010.
The dental supplies manufacturer recorded a revenue figure of $95.9 million (60.5 million pounds) in the three months ending on September 30th 2010, compared to the $79.3 million figure reported in the corresponding period of last year.
It was also able to achieve a net profit of $16.8 million during the quarter, compared to a loss of $49.9 million in Q3 2009.
Thomas Prescott, Align's president and chief executive officer, stated that case shipment totals were consistent with the lower end of the company's guidance range, with product demand from international doctors increasing.
He added: "I'm pleased to report another good quarter of financial results for Align with revenue, gross margin, operating margin and earnings per share above our outlook."
In August 2010, the company launched Invisalign G3, the latest version of its flagship tooth alignment system.
