Allianz Insurance brand Petplan reveals equine vet award nominees

Allianz Insurance's animal health brand Petplan has nominated three UK vets for its forthcoming awards event honouring best practice in equine health.

The insurer has named David Denny of Worcester, Sussex-based Judy Scrine and Goole's Vincenzo Franco as finalists at the Petplan Equine Vet of the Year Award 2010, which is being held on November 4th.

This event is being organised by the specialist Petplan Equine brand in association with Horse and Rider Magazine and will be voted on by an independent panel of judges.

Petplan explained that the ceremony is designed to honour those who have gone "above and beyond" in their commitment to animal health over the last year.

Alison Andrew, Petplan Equine's marketing manager, said: "The nominees this year have again been genuinely outstanding. It is a great privilege to read the nominations and see the incredible commitment shown by equine vets across the UK."

Earlier this month, Petplan announced that it has presented 500 pounds to the Diana Brimblecombe Animal Rescue Centre in Berkshire as part of its monthly charity prize draw.
