Biohit exceeds expectations in 2010 year to date
Biohit has outperformed its internal financial guidance during the first nine months of 2010.
The company has published its interim fiscal report for the three quarters between January and September 2010, during which the firm accumulated net sales takings of 28.9 million euros (24.9 million pounds), up by 15.1 percent year-on-year.
Third quarter sales also saw a double-digit rise, with particular growth noted in demand for electronic and mechanical pipettes, while the company has made progress with the commercialisation of its Acetium capsule and diagnostic kits.
Jussi Heinio, president and chief executive officer of Biohit, added: "The recovery of the North American and Asian market areas had a particularly favourable impact on the net sales trend. The new locations opened during the first part of the year boosted sales growth."
Last month, Biohit revealed plans to expand its acetaldehyde detection products and service offering by assisting in the removal of potentially carcinogenic substances from consumable goods.
