Simplyhealth wins praise for charitable donations
Simplyhealth has been praised by UK organisations that have received charitable donations from the health and dental insurer in the last few months.
The Carpenter House homeless centre in Bristol, which is run by Crisis Centre Ministries, was recently able to install CCTV cameras worth 2,500 pounds that were donated by Simplyhealth, reports BBC News.
Similarly, the Andover Advertiser reports that the Basingstoke and Andover branch of the Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA) was presented with 2,760 pounds in September 2010 following a charity collection by Simplyhealth.
Staff at the Hampshire-based RSPCA division thanked the company for its contribution, which will help to fund its continuing work in the area.
Mark Day, a spokesman for Simplyhealth, explained: "Every month local organisations are selected by employees to receive the proceeds of our dress-down Fridays."
This comes after Simplyhealth was voted best health-related insurer of 2010 at this year's Personal Finance Awards last month.
